Reporting Child Abuse
If you believe a child is being harmed or is in danger, report it right away.
How to Report
- Call the DC Child Abuse Hotline: (202) 671‑SAFE (7233)

Mandated reporters must report suspected abuse or neglect to CFSA or MPD.
What Happens When You Call
- Hotline staff collect details and share them with the Metropolitan Police Department's Youth and Family Engagement Division (MPD).
- When reports are made directly to MPD, officers will notify the hotline to ensure all resources are provided.
