Wanted Suspect Sought in an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) Offense: 300 Block of Taylor Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, January 13, 2020, in the 300 block of Taylor Street, Northeast.

 

At approximately 10:19 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victims to local hospitals for treatment of life threatening injuries.

 

The suspect in this case has been identified as 31 year-old Juan Carlos Galla, Jr. He is described as a black male, with a heavy build, 5’8”to 5’11” in height, weighing approximately 290 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a full beard. Galla is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Carrying a Pistol without a License in reference to this offense.

 

Galla was last seen fleeing the scene of the offense in a 2002 Mercedes Benz C230 with Virginia tags of ULZ9274. Galla and the vehicle can be seen below.
