Wanted Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery (Knife) Offense: 1400 Block of Duncan Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in the 1400 block of Duncan Street, Northeast.

 

At approximately 9:16 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location.  The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property.  The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.

 

The suspect in this case has been identified as 17 year-old Makel Barnes, of Northeast, DC. Barnes is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, charging him as an adult, for Armed Robbery (Knife).  Barnes can be seen in the photo below.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.
