Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced two additional arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, January 27, 2019, in the 800 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 12:07 am, the victim and the suspect were engaged in a verbal dispute, inside of an establishment, at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victim multiple times. The second suspect assaulted the victim. The third suspect recovered the handgun that was used during the offense. The suspects then fled the scene. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
Previously, on Thursday, February 28, 2019, a 26 year-old adult male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrants, 27 year-old Deago Antonio Belton and 24 year-old Timara Williams, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill.
