The Metropolitan Police Department and the Department of Transportation would like to inform the public of street closures and Emergency No Parking in conjunction with the 2019 Thunder Alley event on Saturday, May 25, 2019 through Monday, May 27, 2019.
The following street will be closed on Friday, May 24, 2019, at approximately 8:00 am, to Monday, May 27, 2019, until approximately 10:00 pm:
- 22nd Street, NW, between C Street and Constitution Avenue, NW
The following street will be posted as Emergency No Parking on Friday, May 24, 2019, at approximately 6:00 am, to Monday, May 27, 2019, until approximately 10:00 pm:
- 22nd Street, NW, between C Street and Constitution Avenue, NW
The public should expect parking restrictions along the entire route and should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked along the route and in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticked and towed.
Motorists traveling in the area of this event may experience delays and should consider alternative routes, if possible. The Metropolitan Police Department and the DC Department of Transportation would like to remind motorists to pay full attention whenever operating any motor vehicle and to be mindful of heavy pedestrian traffic that may be associated with special events. These street closings are subject to change without notice based upon unanticipated events and prevailing conditions.
