Third Arrest Made in a Homicide: 2300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce a third arrest has been made in reference to a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, on Friday, March 10, 2017.

 

At approximately 11:15 am, members of the Sixth District responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. 

 

The decedent has been identified as 24-year-old Tyrone Johnson, of Southeast, DC.

 

On Friday, December 29, 2017, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrants, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested a 28-year-old male, of Landover, MD and 23-year-old male, of Southeast, DC. They both were charged with First Degree Murder while Armed –Felony Murder.

 

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 30-year-old Gabriel Brown, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed –Felony Murder.
