Suspects Wanted for Homicides in the District

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek assistance with locating several suspects who are currently wanted for homicide offenses.

 

2020 Homicide: 600 Block of 46th Place, Southeast

 

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect that is wanted in reference to a homicide that occurred on Thursday, August 6, 2020, in the 600 block of 46th Place, Southeast.

 

At approximately 5:47 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. A second adult male was located at the scene, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a juvenile male walked into a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

 

The decedent has been identified as 26-year-old Michael Brittingham, of Northeast, DC.

 

The suspect in this case has been identified as 17 year-old Dreaun Young, of Southeast, DC. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, charging him as an adult, with Second Degree Murder while Armed. He can be seen in the photos below:

2020 Homicide: 1600 Block of W Street, Southeast

 

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Friday, October 9, 2020, in the 1600 block of W Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 9:56 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where after all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 28 year-old Yisa Jeffcoat, of Southeast, DC.

 

On Monday, December 14, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 20 year-old adult male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).

 

An additional suspect in this case has been identified as 23 year-old Taiyonne Goggins, of Southeast, DC. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed. He can be seen in the photos below:

 

2014 Homicide: 3900 block of 14th Street, NW

 

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, in the 3900 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 5:30 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where after all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 33 year-old Evelyn Arollo of Northwest, DC.

 

The suspect in this case has been identified as, 41 year-old Marvin W. Lopez, also known as Marvin Lopez Cabrera, of Northwest, DC. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed. He can be seen in the photos below:

2013 Homicide: Beach Drive & Joyce Road, NW

 

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, September 2, 2013, at the intersection of Beach Drive and Joyce Road, Northwest.

 

At approximately 7:53 pm, members of the United States Park Police were notified of a body found on the bank of Rock Creek in Grove #6 near Beach Drive and Joyce Road, NW. They located an unconscious adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene to initiate life saving measures, but found no signs consistent with life.

 

The decedent has been identified as 49 year-old Matias Molina of Northwest, Washington, DC.

 

The first suspect pictured below is identified as, 48 year-old Angel Dilmar Morge, also known as Alex Avalos. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, charging him with Second Degree Murder while Armed.

The second suspect, pictured below is identified as, 43-year-old Jose Santos Cantarero, of Northeast, Washington, DC. He is wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, charging him Accessory After the Fact.

These cases remain under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
