Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, in the 4400 block of Benning Road, Northeast.
At approximately 1:11 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with apparent damage from gunshots. After further investigation by detectives, it was revealed that there was an exchange of gunfire between two groups of suspects. There have been no reported injuries at this time.
