The Metropolitan Police Department announces that three arrests have been made in reference to firearm offense in Northwest. Two suspects were also charged in connection to six separate offenses that occurred in Northwest over the last week.
On Sunday, August 4, 2024, at approximately 9:59 p.m., members of the Third District Crime Suppression Team conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle which led to the discovery of illegal firearms. The occupants of the vehicle, 33-year-old Ricky Watkins, 30-year-old Davon Watkins, and 32-year-old Davion Hart, were placed under arrest and charged with, Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Possession of Unregistered Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device.
Davion Hart and Davon Watkins were additionally charged with Receiving Stolen Property. Ricky Watkins and Davon Watkins were additionally charged with Felon in Possession. CCN: 24119677
Through the detectives’ investigation, Ricky Watkins and Davon Watkins were additionally charged with the following offenses:

- Destruction of Property-Misdemeanor and Unlawful Entry, that occurred on July 31, 2024, in the 2900 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 24117198
- Burglary Two, Theft (Second Degree), and Destruction of Property-Misdemeanor that occurred on July 31, 2024, in the 3200 block of Mt. Pleasant Street, Northwest. CCN: 24117065
- Robbery (Gun) that occurred on July 31, 2024, in the 2700 block of 11th Street, Northwest. CCN: 24117074
- Burglary Two and Destruction of Property-Misdemeanor that occurred on August 4, 2024, in the 1700 block of S Street, Northwest. CCN: 24119629
