Suspect Wanted in an Assault with Intent to Kill While Armed (Knife) Offense: 4800 Block of East Capitol Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a wanted suspect in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill while Armed (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2019, in the 4800 Block of East Capitol Street, Northeast.

At approximately 5:30 am, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation, inside of a residence, at the listed location. The suspect physically assaulted the victim then brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed that this offense is domestic in nature.

The suspect in this case has been identified as 24-year old Patrick Roberts Jr. He is believed to be occupying a 2017 Toyota Rav 4 sports utility vehicle bearing a Maryland tag of 6CD8581. Roberts is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault with Intent to Kill while Armed. Roberts and the vehicle can be seen in the photos below.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
