Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District need the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in the 5000 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 1:21 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating 18 year-old Jumel Silver, of Northwest, DC. Silver is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) in reference to this offense. Silver can be seen in the photos below and should be considered armed and dangerous:
