Suspect Wanted in an Arson Offense: 3900 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast

Members of the ATF/DC Arson and Explosives Task Force, which includes members from MPD, DCFEMS, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in reference to an Arson offense that occurred on Monday, June 17, 2019, in the 3900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast.

 

At approximately 10:10 pm, DC Fire and EMS and officers from the Sixth District, responded to a residential building, at the listed location, for the report of a fire. Members of DC Fire and EMS extinguished the fire. There were no reported injuries. An investigation into the cause of the fire revealed it was intentionally set.

 

One of the suspects has been identified as 31 year-old Laketia Hazelwood, of Southeast, DC. She is described as a black female 5’6” to 5’8” tall, medium complexion, and brown eyes. She is currently wanted pursuant to a US District Court Bench Warrant for Arson. Hazelwood can be seen in the photos below:
