Suspect Wanted in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 300 Block of Tingey Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, November 14, 2019, in the 300 block of Tingey Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 11:48 pm, the suspect and the victim were at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property. The suspect then assaulted the victim and took his property. The suspect fired the handgun, but did not cause injury to the victim.

 

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating 31 year-old Christopher Gayle. Gayle is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Armed Robbery (Gun) in reference to this offense. Gayle can be seen in the photo below:

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime, including armed robbery, committed in the District of Columbia.
