Suspect Sought in a First Degree Sexual Abuse and Burglary One Offense: 1600 block of Irving Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a First Degree Sexual Abuse and a Burglary One offense that occurred on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, in the 1600 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 1:00 AM, the suspect gained entry to the victim’s residence at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect demanded US Currency. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the location on foot toward the south alley in the 1600 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 50 years in age, 5’10’’ – 6’2’’ in height, with a medium to heavy build, a gray and black colored beard and was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded shirt, gray pants, and red shoes.
