Suspect Sought in an Assault With Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse Offense: 5400 Block of 3rd Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to an Assault With Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in the 5400 block of 3rd Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 6:49 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim. During the assault, the suspect attempted to sexually assault the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

 

The suspect is described as an 18-19 year old black male with a dark complexion, short bush hairstyle, small build, and 5’1” to 5’2” in height. The suspect was last seen wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and riding a black bicycle with a plastic bag covering the seat.
