Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery (Gun) Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to Armed Robbery (Gun) offenses, which occurred in the Fifth and Sixth Districts.

 

  • At approximately 3:50 am, on Monday, July 22, 2019, in the 900 block of 2nd Street, Northeast, the suspect exited a vehicle and approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded her property. The victim complied. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. CCN: 19-131-244
  • At approximately 2:14 am, on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the 600 block of K Street, Northeast, the suspect exited a vehicle and approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded her property. The victim complied. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. CCN: 19-129-426
  • At approximately 2:55 am, on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the 5500 block of Hunt Place, Northeast, the suspect exited a vehicle and approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded her property. The victim complied. The suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. CCN: 19-129-436

 

In each of the above cases, transgender individuals were victimized. The suspect is described as a Black male, 20’s to 30’s in age, 5’7” to 5’11” in height, medium build, wearing brown or tan overalls, and a black skull cap. The suspect was seen fleeing in a dark in color Jeep SUV. The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below:

 

Anyone who can identify this individual or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a shooting committed in the District of Columbia.
