Suspect and a Vehicle of Interest Sought in Theft One and Leaving After Colliding Offenses in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and a vehicle of interest in reference to Theft One and Leaving After Colliding offenses that occurred on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the following locations:

 

  • At approximately 3:49 pm, in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the listed location. The suspect took property then fled the scene in a vehicle. CCN: 20-042-181
  • At approximately 4:13 pm, in the 400 block of 11th Street, Southeast, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at the listed location. As the suspect took property, the victim attempted to confront the suspect. The victim was struck by the suspects’ vehicle as it fled. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle of interest in this case is described as a white in color 2017 Hyundai Accent bearing DC tag: FN6318. A suspect and the vehicle were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below:
