Second Arrest Made in a Homicide: 3500 Block of Wheeler Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced a second arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Saturday, October 20, 2018, in the 3500 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast.

 

At approximately 1:57 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services were summoned to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent has been identified as 19 year-old Malik McCloud, of Southeast, DC.

 

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Seventh District's Crime Suppression Team arrested a 26 year-old adult male, of Capital Heights, MD. He has been charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.

 

On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fugitive Unit transported 19 year-old Martinez Raynor, of Southeast, DC, to the Homicide Branch, where he was charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
