Person of Interest Sought in U Street Homicide

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in the death of a woman in Northwest D.C.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Third District officers were flagged down in front of the 900 block of U Street for a person down in the roadway. Officers were advised the victim was assaulted and then struck by a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Anee Roberson, of Northwest, D.C.

Detectives are working to identify the suspects who assaulted Roberson resulting in her death.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.
