The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a Southeast shooting.
On Friday, August 30, 2024, at approximately 3:18 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of 13th Place, Southeast, for the report of a vehicle being struck by a bullet. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting but no victims. A short time later, a man arrived at a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives determined the victim was injured in the 13th Place Southeast incident.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
