MPD Searching for Shooting Suspect

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a shooting in Southeast.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at approximately 7:43 p.m., officers were notified of a walk-in shooting victim at a local hospital. The man reported he had been shot at a gas station in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, at approximately 4:47 p.m. Due to the nature of the shooting, the incident is being investigated as an Assault with Intent to Kill. The victim is currently being treated for their injuries at an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The suspect was captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo below:

Anyone who has any knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
