MPD Searching for Robbery Suspect

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fourth District are searching for a suspect who robbed a Northeast convenience store.

On Monday, April 15, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the suspect entered a convenience store in the 300 block of Hawaii Avenue, Northeast and grabbed some items before walking to the counter. He then grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed the clerk before stealing the cash register and other items.

The suspect was captured by a nearby camera and can be seen in the photo below:

Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
