MPD Searching for a Man in a Third-Degree Sexual Abuse

from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man who assaulted a woman in the 1100 block of 3rd Street, Northeast.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at approximately 5:13 a.m., the suspect pushed the victim against a wall and engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a male of an unknown race, 5’10” to 6’0” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoody with the hood pulled around his face, gray pants, and knitted mittens.

Anyone who can identify this suspect or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
