The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man who robbed a business in Southeast.
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, at approximately 5:22 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to an establishment in the 1700 block of Marion Barry Avenue, Southeast, for the report of a robbery. The suspect entered the establishment and stole US currency from the cash register. The victim detained the suspect until officers arrived.
As a result of the on-scene investigation, a 40-year-old Corey Bender of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Robbery.
