The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man in an armed robbery that occurred in January in Northwest.
On January 26, 2025, at approximately 5:55 a.m., Third District officers responded to the report of an armed robbery in the 1800 block of 2nd Street, Northwest. The suspects exited a vehicle, approached the victim while brandishing a gun, and took property from the victim. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
On Saturday, July 26, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 25-year-old Zamar Sharpe of Northwest, DC, was arrested. As a result of the detective’s investigation, Sharpe was charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).
