The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest of a suspect involved in an assault that occurred in Northwest.
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the suspect and the victim were involved in verbal altercation in the 2200 block of 8th Street, Northwest. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a bottle, and assaulted the victim, then fled the scene. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, 19-year-old Myles Selby, of Waldorf, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Bottle).
