The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest in a shooting that occurred in Northwest.
On Thursday, January 22, 2026, at approximately 5:38 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to the 5900 block of 16th Street, Northwest, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female, two juvenile females, and two juvenile males, all conscious and breathing, suffering from gunshot wounds. All of the victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2026, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 18-year-old Anthony Del Cid-Morales, of Northwest, DC, and was charged with Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun).
