Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northeast.
On Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 11:35 a.m., Fifth District officers responded to the 2600 block of Bladensburg Road, Northeast, for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Larry Kiser, of Northwest.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
