Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Carjacking Task Force announce a teenager has been arrested for three Armed Carjacking offenses that occurred in the Fourth District.
In each of the below offenses, the suspects were passengers in a ride-share vehicle at the listed location. During the ride, the suspects displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. All the vehicles have been recovered.
- On Sunday, January 14, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 6300 block of 5th Street, Northwest CCN 24006825
- On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Madison Street, Northwest. CCN 24007702
- On Saturday, February 3, 2024, at approximately 8:47 p.m. the 700 block of Madison Street, Northwest. CCN 24017534
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 14-year-old juvenile male of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with the above offenses.
