The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in multiple burglary offenses in Southeast.
In each of the below offenses, the suspect entered the following locations, took property, and fled the scene.
• On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m. in the 800 block of Barnaby Street, Southeast. CNN: 24136350
• On Thursday, September 12, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of Southern Ave Southeast. CCN: 24140920
• On Friday, September 20, 2024, at approximately 8:06 a.m. in the 800 block of Barnaby Street, Southeast. CCN: 24145316
• On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Valley Terrace, Southeast. CCN: 24156496
• On Friday, October 11, 2024, from 10:31 p.m. to Saturday, October 12, 2024, 2:41 a.m. in the 1100 block of Varney Street, Southeast. CCN: 24158580
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 50-year-old Darrell Griffin, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with five counts of Burglary Two.
