The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in an armed carjacking that occurred in Southeast.
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the suspect approached the victim, who was standing near their vehicle, in the 3700 block of 4th Street, Southeast. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property and car keys. The victim complied. The suspect took the victim’s property and vehicle then fled the scene.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, a 33-year-old Micheal Mitchell, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
