The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in a shooting in Northwest.
On Saturday, August 2, 2025, at approximately 3:49 p.m., Third District officers responded to the Unit block of Florida Avenue, Northwest, for the sounds of gunshots. Officers located a victim who had been shot at but not injured by gunfire.
As a result of the detective’s investigation, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court Arrest warrant 24-year-old Antwon Lake, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested. Lake is charged with Assault With A Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Destruction of Property.
