The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a robbery suspect in Northwest.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m., while in the 2100 block of L Street, Northwest, the suspect approached the victim, successfully obtained property from the victim before fleeing the scene.
Officers canvassed the area, quickly located the suspect and placed him under arrest. As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 52-year-old Maurice Smith of no fixed address was arrested and charged with Robbery.
