Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announced a man has been arrested for an armed robbery that occurred in the 1600 block of Marion Street, Northwest.
On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., the victims were getting into their vehicle at the listed location when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victims and took a cell phone from one of the victims. The suspects fled the area.
The victim’s cell phone had tracking capabilities turned on. Responding officers were able to track the victim’s cell phone to the 700 block of S Street, Northwest. One of the suspects was located with the victim’s cell phone in his pocket.
On Saturday, February 24, 2024, 45-year-old Kedar Hasmel Reid, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).
