The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) will kick-off Beat the Streets 2019 on Wednesday, June 19 at King Greenleaf Recreation Center located at 201 N Street, Southwest. MPD, local social service agencies and community vendors host a traveling community festival across the District from June through August this summer. These community engagement events provide an opportunity for residents to interact with members of the police department and connect with local agency resources while enjoying dancing, free food, and music.
