Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announce a man has been arrested for a shooting that occurred in Northeast, DC.
On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. They located a juvenile male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, 51-year-old Anthony Adegbola Goncalves, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill, Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Felon in Possession.
At the time of the arrest, a handgun was recovered by officers.
