Homicide: 1100 Block of Queen Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday, July 19, 2019, inside of a residence, in the 1100 block of Queen Street, Northeast.

At approximately 5:49 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to a residence at the listed location for the report of two unconscious males. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim and a juvenile male victim. Both were unconscious and unresponsive suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found that the victims displayed no signs consistent with life. Both victims remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. 

The decedents have been identified as 17 year-old Ahkii Washington-Scruggs and 57 year-old, Hugh Washington, both of Northeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000, per victim, to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.
