Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, April 27, 2019, in the 5200 block of Canal Road, Northwest.
At approximately 7:24 pm, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male, suffering from multiple sharp force injuries. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and found the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until being transported to Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 16 year-old Eberson Guerra-Sanchez, of Frederick. MD.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
