Decedent Identified in a Homicide: 3500 Block of Commodore Joshua Barney Drive, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have identified human skeletal remains that were located on Tuesday, December 29, 1992, in the 3500 block of Commodore Joshua Barney Drive, Northeast.

Workers contacted police in reference to the discovery of skeletal remains found at the listed location. Members of the Fifth District responded to the scene and located what appeared to be human skeletal remains.

The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further examination.

On Friday, January 15, 1993, after further examination, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was gunshot wounds and ruled the manner of death as Homicide.

In March 2019, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the decedent was identified as then 26 year-old Steven Glover.

This case remains under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
