Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses in the Third District

Sunday, June 16, 2019

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announce arrests have been made in reference to multiple Robbery offenses that occurred on Sunday, June 16, 2019, in the Third District:

  • Robbery (Force and Violence): At approximately 1:44 am, in the 1000 block of U Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim and assaulted the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-104-723

 

    • On Sunday, June 16, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, a 16 year-old juvenile male, and 19 year-old Marcus Britt, all of Fort Washington, MD, were arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).

 

  • Robbery (Force and Violence): At approximately 1:49 am, in the 2000 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim and assaulted the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-104-728

 

    • On Sunday, June 16, 2019, 19 year-old Akiz Peterson, of Temple Hills, MD, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).

 

  • Simple Assault and Theft Two: At approximately 2:11 am, in the 1200 block of U Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim and assaulted the victim. One of the suspects obtained the victim’s property from the ground. All suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-104-717

 

    • On Sunday, June 16, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with Theft Two.

 

  • Armed Robbery (Gun): At approximately 2:40 am, in the 900 block U Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim and attempted to snatch the victim’s property. One suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. CCN: 19-104-759

 

    • On Sunday, June 16, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).

 

  • Robbery (Force and Violence): At approximately 3:00 am, in the 2000 block of 9th Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim and assaulted the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-104-749

 

    • On Sunday, June 16, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).

These cases remain under investigation. Detectives are investigating these offenses as being related.
