Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses in the Fifth District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District have announced arrests have been made in reference to Robbery offenses that occurred in the Fifth District.

 

  • Robbery (Force and Violence): On Monday, June 22, 2020, at approximately 5:14 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the 1700 block of F Street, Northeast. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-091-587
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Monday, June 29, 2020, at approximately 5:30 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the 500 block of Oklahoma Avenue, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect then took the victim’s car keys. The suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-094-780
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene. CCN: 20-095-734

 

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, 18 year-old Malik Beverly, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence) and two counts of Armed Robbery (Gun).

 

Also, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, 19 year-old Rayrae Stover, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) and Robbery (Force and Violence).

 

Two of the cases remain under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
