Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District have announced arrests have been made in reference to Robbery offenses that occurred in the Fifth District.
- Robbery (Force and Violence): On Monday, June 22, 2020, at approximately 5:14 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the 1700 block of F Street, Northeast. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-091-587
- Armed Robbery (Gun): On Monday, June 29, 2020, at approximately 5:30 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the 500 block of Oklahoma Avenue, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect then took the victim’s car keys. The suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-094-780
- Armed Robbery (Gun): On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene. CCN: 20-095-734
On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, 18 year-old Malik Beverly, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence) and two counts of Armed Robbery (Gun).
Also, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, 19 year-old Rayrae Stover, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) and Robbery (Force and Violence).
Two of the cases remain under investigation.
