Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
- On Monday, August 10, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, a 16 year-old juvenile female and two 14 year-old juvenile females, all of Bladensburg, MD, were arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, August 10, 2020, in the 900 block of 11th Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-114-375
- At approximately 6:53 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s keys. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Second District:
- On Friday, August 7, 2020, 26 year-old Jyzel Barefield, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Pickpocket) offense that occurred on Friday, August 7, 2020, in the 1200 block of G Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-112-713
- At approximately 1:59 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took the victim’s property from their pocket and attempted to flee the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Fifth District:
- On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, 26 year-old Terrell Baker, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, in the 1700 block of Gales Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-1156-364
- At approximately 5:33 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Sixth District:
- On Friday, August 7, 2020, 26 year-old Domineke Coates, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Monday, August 3, 2020, in the 1800 block of Q Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-111-003
- At approximately 9:47 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect then demanded the victim’s property and fled the scene. No property was obtained.
- On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, 26 year-old Maurice Douglas, of Upper Marlboro, MD, and a 17 year-old juvenile female, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-112-024
- At approximately 10:43 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed locations. The suspects assaulted the victim, took the victim’s property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Seventh District:
- On Saturday, August 8, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2020, in the 4100 block of 1st Street, Southeast. CCN: 20-113-408, 20-113-410
- At approximately 9:11 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect forcibly removed the victim from their vehicle and then fled the scene in the vehicle.
