Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Friday, December 11, 2020, 20 year-old Tyriq Singletary, of no fixed address, was arrested for an Attempted Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, December 11, 2020, in the 600 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-176-055
    • At approximately 8:29 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect fled without obtaining any property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Third District:

 

  • On Sunday, December 13, 2020, 24 year-old Ebrahim Seid, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 11, 2020, in the 2200 block of Champlain Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-145-533
    • At approximately 1:35 pm, two suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One suspect brandished a baton and struck one of the victims and their vehicle, causing damage. The suspects forcibly took the victims’ property and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 27 year-old Donzell Brodis, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2020, in the 3700 block of Hayes Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-113-059
    • At approximately 3:50 am, the suspects approached the victim, while in a vehicle, at the listed location. The suspects demanded property from the victim. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim. A second suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle. An adult female and a juvenile male were previously arrested in this case.
