Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Monday, December 7, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male and a 17 year-old juvenile male, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (BB Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, December 7, 2020, in the 500 block of Kentucky Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-173-915
    • At approximately 12:51 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

 

Third District:

 

  • On Saturday, December 5, 2020, two 16 year-old juvenile males, both of Northwest, DC, were arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Saturday, November 28, 2020, in the 3300 block of 17th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-169-471
    • At approximately 12:54 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take his property.  The suspects fled without obtaining any property.

 

  • On Thursday, December 10, 2020, 23 year-old Clarence Dicks, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, December 10, 2020, in the 500 block of R Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-175-373
    • At approximately 12:50 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. MPD officers apprehended the suspect after they observed the suspect assault the victim and attempt to take the victim’s property.

 

Fourth District:

  • On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, 17 year-old Reginald Monroe, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 15, 2020, in the 500 block of Riggs Road, Northeast. CCN: 20-147-445
    • At approximately 5:50 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Fifth District:

  • On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, members of the Fifth District arrested 30 year-old Deandre King, of Southeast, DC, for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 6, 2020, in the 1300 block of 2nd Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-173-380
    • At approximately 2:58 am, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and forcibly took property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

  • On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in the 4000 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. CCN: 20-174-252
    • At approximately 7:12 am, the suspects approached the victim, while sitting in their vehicle, at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim exit their vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

 

  • On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, 24 year-old Johnny Young, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in the 2600 block of Douglas Place, Southeast. CCN: 20-175-041
    • At approximately 5:46 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
