Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, two 16 year-old juvenile males, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in the 1500 block of Taylor Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-164-973
    • At approximately 1:48 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Monday, November 16, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Saturday, August 8, 2020, in the 3700 block of Hayes Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-113-059
    • At approximately 3:50 am, the suspects approached the victim, while in a vehicle, at the listed location. The suspects demanded property from the victim. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim. A second suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle. An adult female was previously arrested in this case. This case remains under investigation.
