Arrests Made in Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Monday, June 15, 2020, 23 year-old Deangelo Johnson, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Unarmed Carjacking offense that occurred on Monday, June 15, 2020, in the 1100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-088-610
    • At approximately 6:56 pm, the suspect approached the victim, who was on a moped, at the listed location. The suspect pushed the victim off of the moped then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fifth District:

  • On Saturday, June 13, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile female, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 13, 2020, in the 1500 block of 15th Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-087-710
    • At approximately 8:04 pm, the suspect was a passenger in a taxi at the listed location. The suspect snatched property from the victim then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Sixth District:

  • On Friday, June 12, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Thursday, April 9, 2020, in the 5200 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 20-056-760
    • At approximately 1:45 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Jalin Randolph, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2020, in the 3900 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. CCN: 20-035-286
    • At approximately 10:45 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and took money from the register then fled the scene.
