Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

Third District:

 

  • On Saturday, April 25, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in the 2100 block of 8th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-043-349
    • At approximately 11:19 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and took property. Both suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

  • On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, 40 year-old Earvin Harris, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in the 2100 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-065-141
    • At approximately 2:59 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched property from the victim then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Friday, April 24, 2020, 20 year-old Jonathan Gabriel and a 16 year-old juvenile male, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, April 24, 2020, in the 300 block of Bryant Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-063-094
    • At approximately 5:00 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Friday, May 1, 2020, 19 year-old Costello Coleman, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, April 24, 2020, in the 4700 block of Benning Road, Southeast. CCN: 20-063-086
    • At approximately 4:55 pm, the victims and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using an online application. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victims. The victims complied and the suspect fled the scene.
