Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, 28 year-old Phillip Taylor, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, April 19, 2020, in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-060-896
    • At approximately 3:26 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Monday, April 20, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 27 year-old Sean Zewe, of Arlington, VA, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Saturday, March 14, 2020, in the 1100 block of 1st Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-045-585
    • At approximately 7:33 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, 21 year-old Marc Kirk and 20 year-old Robert Smith, both of Southeast, DC, and 20 year-old Jihad Johnson, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in the 1600 block of Fairlawn Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 20-061-887
    • At approximately 10:10 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast. CCN: 20-061-520
    • At approximately 2:56 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect demanded property and the victim complied. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
