Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

Third District:

 

  • On Monday, March 9, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for two Robbery offenses within the Third District:
    • Robbery (Snatch): On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at approximately 3:08 pm, the suspect approached the victim in the 700 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 20-023-817
    • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Saturday, January 25, 2020, at approximately 12:01 am, the suspect approached the victim in the 2000 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest. The suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN: 20-014-831  

 

  • On Friday, March 13, 2020, 41 year-old Antonio McCoy Jr, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, March 13, 2020, in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-044-512
    • At approximately 7:31 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took the victim’s property then fled the scene.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 34 year-old Gregory Jansen Sharp, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery of Establishment offense that occurred on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in the 3900 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN 18-163-195
    • At approximately 12:42 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect demanded US currency from the cash register. When the victim refused, the suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property then fled the scene.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, 21 year-old Jaleel Fowler, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for two Robbery offenses that occurred in the Seventh District.  
    • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at approximately 12:45 am, the suspect approached the victim in the 2900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast. The suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN 20-025-264
    • Robbery (Force and Violence): On Friday, February 28, 2020, at approximately 7:30 am, the suspect approached the victim in the 2800 block of 5th Street, Southeast. The suspect assaulted the victim then took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN 20-035-808
