Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
- On Saturday, February 8, 2020, 22 year-old Cortez Dargin, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery offense that occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2020, in the 800 block of 8th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-006-720
- At approximately 10:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim with a knife and a piece of wood and took their property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Third District:
- On Thursday, February 13, 2020, three 16 year-old juvenile males, all of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in the 3100 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-021-999
- At approximately 6:40 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victims and took their property then fled the scene.
Fourth District:
- On Friday, February 7, 2020, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in the 4100 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-021-985
- At approximately 3:30 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene.
Fifth District:
- On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 29 year-old Ronald Clay, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in the 2200 block of Adams Place, Northeast. CCN: 20-017-219
- At approximately 11:20 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim did not comply and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Sixth District:
- On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 49 year-old Clifton Raynard Clinton, of Capitol Heights, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, in the 4200 block of Edson Place, Northeast. CCN: 20-021-109
- At approximately 10:27 am, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took property then fled the scene.
